Assistive Technology

Students who have difficulty learning to read often fall behind in other areas of school because of their difficulties with reading. Assistive Technology includes a wide range of products that can provide students with assistance in reading and writing in various subjects. These products can be included as a part of a student's Individual Educational Plan (IEP). They may also be used at home for both academic and leisure pursuits.

Included in this section are just some of the assistive technology products that students use. A brief review is written for each. The reviews are not recommending or approving any product. The review is a short factual report to help you make decisions about which assistive technology may be helpful to your student. Each student is unique. Your knowledge of the student and your research of each product will help you to determine a good match. We acknowledge that there are many other assistive technology products available. If you would like us to include an assistive technology product, please contact us with the product information.
