What does it do?

Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic is a non-profit lending library of recorded books for individuals who have vision impairments or dyslexia. The collection focuses on academic books for students of all ages and literature. Books are recorded by individuals in the subject field. Illustrations, charts and graphs etc. are described and explained for the reader. Materials may be checked out for one year at a time. These tools and services are designed to "level the playing field" for struggling readers and students with print disabilities.

Equipment: Specialized CD players or computer software is needed to play to books.
