What does it do?

Readingpen is a reading aid for users with reading disabilities, dyslexia or literacy issues. It can scan a single word or full line of text in printed text 6-22 points in size. The print may be bold, italic, interline or inverted. It will read aloud the scanned word or line. Spoken words are highlighted on the screen. The professional version can define over 480,000 words using American Heritage College Dictionary definitions. The basic version, for school age children, can define over 240,000 words using the American Heritage Children's Dictionary and provide cross references with the American Heritage Children's Thesaurus. It can read these definitions aloud. Readingpen can divide words into syllables. It can be set for left-or right-handed users.
