For Parents
Is your child struggling to learn to read?
Has your child received remedial instruction, yet is not showing gains in reading ability? Is your child bright and curious about the world but unable to break the code of the written word?
Parents are often the first to be aware that something is not right in their child's learning. Children who continue to struggle with reading through elementary and middle school may have dyslexia. Children who have dyslexia have limited ability to read and write through no fault of their own. These children have the right to participate fully in all aspects of their education and daily living regardless of their reading difficulties. The Dyslexia Research Registry is looking for families who may be interested in participating in future studies of dyslexia to help achieve this goal.
